Privacy
The short version: we collect what we need to tell you when the first batch opens and to make your pet's tag. We don't sell your information, and our analytics never see your name, email, phone number or your pet's name.

What we collect, and why
When you join the list
Your email address, the date and time, which form you used, the exact consent wording you agreed to, the page address, any ad campaign tags in the link (like utm_source), and the country your connection comes from. We keep this so we can email you about the first batch and so we can show that you asked to hear from us.
When you save a design
Your email address, the phone number you enter for the tag, and your design: jurisdiction, document, holder, size, colour, and the pet details you type (name, breed or tagline, home, note). We use this to send your design back to you and, if you order, to make your tag. Saving a design doesn't sign you up for marketing emails; that only happens if you tick the separate box.
Analytics
We use PostHog to learn which designs, sizes and colours people choose, so we know what to print. It runs in cookieless mode: no cookies, and visitors are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day. We send it choices only (for example "Texas, licence plate, Jumbo"), never your email, phone number or your pet's name.
Cookies
One small cookie, j, remembers which state or province you picked (for example "tx") for 30 days, so the page opens on it next time. It isn't used for tracking or ads.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is filling them in. Cloudflare looks at technical signals from your browser and connection to do this.
Who handles it for us
We don't sell or rent your information. These services process it on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and our database, and runs Turnstile.
- Shopify keeps our email list and sends our emails (and will handle orders and payments).
- PostHog provides the cookieless analytics described above.
These services may store information on servers in Canada, the United States or elsewhere, so it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
How long we keep it
We keep your list signup while you're subscribed, and the record of your consent for as long as we need to show we had it. Saved designs you never order are deleted within 12 months after the first batch ships, or sooner if you ask.
Your choices
- Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect right away.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailingprivacy@bentleypuddles.com. We'll reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email the list.
